Providing Programs that Expand Link Students’ Horizons

Individuals with a passion or interest and organizations that develop and implement programs for young people, can present opportunities for personal growth that Link students would not otherwise have access to. By providing funding, equipment, caring adults, and programming, partners have given students experiences in soccer, lacrosse, ice hockey, football and fencing, after-school programs, experiential education, summer camps, and elective classes.

Sharing Time and Talent

Individuals are welcome to assist with tutoring, mentoring and teaching elective classes. Primary areas for tutoring are language arts and mathematics. Tutoring typically takes place after school, beginning at 4 pm, but school day opportunities also exist for students who could benefit from support in the classroom. Additionally, individuals who are available during lunch time are welcome to participate in our current weekly mentoring groups or initiate a new one. Also, individuals with expertise or experience in areas that can enrich our students may want to teach an 8 week elective course or make a short presentation at the school’s daily morning meeting.
