Donors can make a real difference in the life of a young scholar through the Sponsor a Student initiative. There is a $5,000 per pupil gap between public funding for a charter school and what is needed to provide the outstanding education that students need to succeed and that Link Community Charter School strives to provide. Through Sponsor a Student, donors are asked to close that gap – to commit to donating $5,000 per year for the four years that a student matriculates at Link. The funds go for summer learning, arts education, elective classes, outdoor education, technology, field trips, experiential education, and STEM programming as well as for staff development to strengthen teaching at the school. Interested donors can be paired with a student to follow throughout his or her four years at the school.
